CREATIVE LEARNING CONNECTION

Yes, Learning Can Be Fun!  Whether you are looking for great educational gift ideas, or something that will add a new dimension to your educational experience, we have something for you. We have developed many great materials in a variety of subjects, all of which are fun and educational. All games and materials have been enjoyed by our family, and many others. They have also had great success in the “classroom.” If you have any questions about any of it – just ask!

We are excited to now have many of our products — including our Math Game and two of our Timeline Games, available as downloadable pdfs at www.CurrClick.com.

Most are developed by Catherine Jaime, “Mom of 12″ — who is proud to have 7 sons, 5 daughters, and 3 daughter-in-laws!

BIG SHOE GAMES

dinerdashI have been a game developer for longer than I’d care to admit, and I used to say ‘I don’t play games–I make them’. But that wasn’t entirely true. I did logic puzzles and sudoku before I went to bed; I loved Clue (even played that ridiculous video version) and all kinds of board games. As for ‘video games’ there just wasn’t anything out there that I was interested in, least of all the ones I was making. All those shoot’em ups and PVPs were so BORING. I don’t want to see anything blow up unless there is a serious emotional payoff, you know? Then later, I had children, my life became wiping applesauce off the wall, and I really had no time to play games. ‘I’ll feed you in a second after I eviscerate my enemy—NO! You can’t watch this!” They got older and I tried World of Warcraft, but the learning curve was too steep—I actually somehow ended up losing all my clothes once and had to run around in my underwear when I was trying to understand the interface. Geez. Then, I discovered Diner Dash. No learning curve, I could play 10 minutes or an hour and stop in a second if someone got a contact stuck on the backside of his or her eyeball. I could play with my kids and it was fun. Almost meditative really. So that’s where I am right now, playing casual games and developing our first one. (Look for it in the spring!) I want to spread the good cheer and fun times without smashing, stealing, or shooting anything. That’s the way I feel, and I understand there are quite a lot of us out there who feel the same way as well.

bigshoegames.comOur goal at Big Shoe Games is to present non-violent games (well ok there is a pirate one where the ships exchange canon fire) that are easy to learn and loads of fun to play.
