SWEET OLIVIA

Welcome to my shop!

Sweet Olivia Designs is my web boutique where I sell hand crafted picture frames and wall plaques. Here at Sweet Olivia Designs, I love the idea of adding everything from silk flowers, gems, rocks, paper, fabric, and paint to frames and wall plaques.

Sweet Olivia was inspired by my two grandmothers, one named Sweet, the other Olivia. My most prized possessions are pictures, and love the idea of having a unique frame for all your special pictures. Sometimes my inspirations are people, so you will see many frames or plaques named after them.

Very Happy Chair is a blog following the eclectic whims of artist, illustrator, and Craft Mutt, Leona Jaeger. Follow along with Leona’s Before & After projects where you can witness the transformation of an estate sale cast-off into a one-of-a-kind treasure. Topics include various art projects, crafts, & design trends as well as some updates on indie craft fairs in the So Cal area. (And probably the occasional off-topic item that is bound to happen.)

Very Happy Chair Etsy shop contains a selection of handmade jewelry, accessories, and the occasional piece of furniture and home decor. Leona takes forgotten and cast off furniture and home wares and transforms them into unique, unforgettable, functional art. VHC hopes soon to include original surface designs for textiles, too. Keep an eye open for them in the upcoming weeks! If you covet one of a kind items, you will be sure to find them here as no two items are ever the same, and all are made–or REmade–by Leona herself.

OLD BARN RESCUE COMPANY

elephants w_child'sname&dateOld Barn Rescue Company creates a wide variety of  ”wall art” by reusing vintage materials and vinyl graphics with our own unique flair.

Our business venture began in the fall of 2002 when my dad was tearing down the barn from our childhood farm.  With the encouragement of my friend and calligraphy artist, Adonna, we saved some of the beautifully weathered wood and began creating.   We soon found ourselves reusing all kinds of vintage materials to make whimsical home décor.  Right from the start, we added personality with words – initially using old scrabble tiles. Adonna also began hand-painting quotes and words on many of our items.  We soon found her lettering and our phrases in high demand.  We explored different options, but knew we could not  mass-produce our truly vintage materials and did not want that compromised.

family name est dateIn the fall of 2008, our exploration led us to vinyl wall graphics.  We decided to take the plunge and formed our new Wall Graphics Division.  We are thrilled to be able to offer Adonna’s beautiful hand-lettering with such ease, versatility, and affordability.

before you were bornYou can now choose elegant hand-lettering in vinyl directly for your walls or on recycled wood, depending on your preference or budget needs.  This second option is great for ready-to-go gifts, for those who have textured walls, and those who value the beauty of old materials.
