DANU

DANU consists of 5 products, 2 shampoos, 2 conditioners, and a leave in styling product. Moisture Mama is our hydrating line, Motherfluffer is the volumizing line and the leave in is called Multitasker.  In our search to bring a natural line of products into our salon we were unable find any that we were satisfied with, so we decided to make our own.  This was a huge undertaking for the two of us considering that we already had one business,  we’re both married and each have 2 young children.  We hired a marketing and branding company to help guide us and found a wonderful chemist.  Over the course of a year DANU was born.  A sulfate free, paraben free, dye free, salon quality natural haircare line.

DANU is being sold in 8 salons currently with hopes of many, many, more to come.  We are our own sales team and distributor.  We also have an awesome web and  e commerce site ( www.danuhaircare.com ) so that we can be available to everybody everywhere.  We’ve had a few newspaper articles and a spot on the news that have all been beneficial in helping to get the word out about us.

More recently we have discovered the power of social online networking.  We have a fan page on Facebook under danu hair care, and  Tweet under the name Motherfluffer.  It’s been an eye opener to learn about all the mom groups out there and all they have to offer.  What did we ever do before these existed?

As moms we felt it important to find a charity to link ourselves to.  After reviewing several we decided to go with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.  We both thought it was a good “fit” for us and believe strongly in them.  For every full size bottle sold we donate .50 cents to them.
