Very Happy Chair is a blog following the eclectic whims of artist, illustrator, and Craft Mutt, Leona Jaeger. Follow along with Leona’s Before & After projects where you can witness the transformation of an estate sale cast-off into a one-of-a-kind treasure. Topics include various art projects, crafts, & design trends as well as some updates on indie craft fairs in the So Cal area. (And probably the occasional off-topic item that is bound to happen.)

Very Happy Chair Etsy shop contains a selection of handmade jewelry, accessories, and the occasional piece of furniture and home decor. Leona takes forgotten and cast off furniture and home wares and transforms them into unique, unforgettable, functional art. VHC hopes soon to include original surface designs for textiles, too. Keep an eye open for them in the upcoming weeks! If you covet one of a kind items, you will be sure to find them here as no two items are ever the same, and all are made–or REmade–by Leona herself.

Very Happy Chair follows the eclectic whimsof artist, illustrator, and Craft Mutt, Leona Jaeger. Born in California, reared in the rural MidWest, then re-transplanted in Southern California, Leona’s outlook is a fresh perspective on themetro scene. With interests in hip, indie crafts, domestic bliss and chic vert, Leona will take you on a sampling of a few of the good things that being a compulsive crafter can bring to your life.

I like stuff. I like making stuff, fixing stuff, painting stuff. And I’malways looking to create something new, or give something old a new twist. I can’t seem to get enough of beads, paints, and fabric. The first project was one salvaged and unsuspecting kitchen-type chair which received a couple coats of paint and a huge red dahlia painted oni t. Which is why my blog is called “Very Happy Chair”.

The Very Happy Chair Blog will keep you up-to-date with various craft news(and probably occasional off-topic item that is bound to happen). You can also follow along with Leona’s Before & After projects where you can witness the transformation of an estate sale cast-off into a one-of-a-kind treasure.
